GCCM & CIDSE WEBINAR: LIVE FROM COP22

Following the entry into force of the Paris Agreement, COP22 U.N. climate negotiations in Marrakesh (Nov 7-18) start today November 7th. The conference will focus on increasing national and international efforts and ambitions in mitigation, adaptation and implementation measures, while consolidating commitments to keep temperatures under the established 1.5 degree threshold. Please check on-line CIDSE and GCCM activities in Marrakesh.

We would like to invite you to join us for a webinar live from Marrakesh on Monday, 14 November. We will bring together experts and leaders present at COP22 and will have the opportunity to learn about the latest climate news and get inspired to take bold action for climate justice in the next months, connecting with the worldwide mobilization that after Paris (December 2015) continues to call for climate justice and greater ambitions to tackle climate change. Please don’t hesitate to share this event with your supporters!

Finally, as Pope Francis recently stated that “it is up to citizens to insist that [governments honour their commitments], and indeed to advocate for even more ambitious goals”, while reminding that “2015 was the warmest year on record, and 2016 will likely be warmer still” (Message for the World Day of Prayer for Creation, Sept 2016). Follow our social media activities also on facebook and twitter in the frame of the campaign Change for the planet – Care for the people.
